This multi-purpose center has a meeting room, kitchen facilities, and a computer lab with controlled internet access and Wi-Fi. There is also an outdoor playground, volleyball net, soccer goals, gaga ball pit, basketball courts adjacent to the facility, and a Wi-Fi table all for public use.

Facilities & Rental Fees

The following applies to the rental fees of our community/recreation centers:

⚬ A 2-hour minimum is required for most rentals.
⚬ Rules apply for decorations and heavy kitchen use/additional $25.00 cleaning fee may apply based on type of rental.
⚬ A deposit of $50.00 is due at the time the reservation is made to secure the date of your desired rental, with the remaining balance due at least three (3) business days prior to rental date. Renters must visit the center in person, pay a $50.00 deposit and sign a rental agreement to secure rentals.
⚬ Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made less than thirty (30) days in advance = 25% of deposit retained by Recreation and Parks. Cancellations made less than fourteen (14) days in advance = 100% of deposit retained by Recreation and Parks.

UPCOMING PROGRAMS & EVENTS

MLK Living the Dream Enrichment and Afterschool Tutoring Program
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 3:00-6:00PM Wednesday 3:00-5:00PM
‍This program is available for Kindergarten through Grade 12 students.
Activities include tutoring, assistance with homework and school projects, and recreational games. Students MUST be registered before attending the program. Snacks provided.

Senior Program
Monday through Friday 10:30AM - 1:30PM
‍Recreational activities for seniors Age 55 & older including line dancing, yoga, arts & crafts, walking club, chair exercises, sports activities, educational classes, and more. A senior group of pickleballers meet at Bassel Courts on Mondays & Thursdays at 8:30AM.

‍Girls, Inc. Computer Lab Outreach Program for Girls Ages 6-18
‍This program offers STEM-related programs (science, technology, engineering and math), a reading comprehension program, arts & crafts, and indoor and outdoor recreational activities.

MLK Youth Summer Day Camp
May 27 – June 27, 2025 Monday-Friday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM except for the Week 1 due to the holiday.
Summer Day Camps for Ages 5–12. Activities include a Literacy program, computer lab, swimming, field trips, outdoor activities, games, arts & crafts, and more! Breakfast and lunch provided.
Children should dress comfortably and bring a water bottle each day.
Cost: $45.00 per child per week (except for first week $36.00).
‍Limited space available. Pre-registration and payment are required before the start of each week at the Parks & Rec Administrative Office.
