SENIOR ADULT ACTIVITIES
The Everett Senior Center is a multi-purpose recreation center for adults over age 50 located at 702 Burchfield Street in Everett Park in Maryville. Office hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM. The center publishes a bi-monthly newsletter/calendar of activities, which is included in the annual membership fee of $15.00 per year for an individual or $25.00 per year per couple. "Mug of Cheer"
Floral Arrangement Class
Instructed by Kathy Furgal
Learn to make your own floral arrangement in a mug. Small profile makes it easy to transport and great to give as a gift. Bring your own coffee mug, garden flowers or cut flower as your focal flower and scissors, (ribbon optional). Addditional flowers, greenery, and floral foam will be provided. Class meets one time on Thursday, August 12, from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Cost is $7.00. Call 983-9422 to register by Aug. 6th; class size is limited.

AUGUST - "Playtime on the Plateau" - Wednesday, August 18th travel to the Cumberland County Playhouse in Crossville, for the funny, heart-warming musical "Tennessee, USA". Before the play we will visit the Antique Mall or the Stonehaus Winery. Lunch is included at the Halcyon Days Restaurant whose owners pride their establishment for both service and food. You will have your choice of 4 meal selections. Please join us for a wonderful lunch and this terrific musical production. Member cost is $65.00 and non-members $72.50. Trip departs ESC at 10:00 a.m. and returns at 6:00 p.m.
OCTOBER - Don't miss the boat! Southern Belle Riverboat Fall Leaf Cruise, cruise the beautiful Tennessee River Gorge - Friday Oct. 22, 2010. This scenic cruise is reminiscent of Tom Sawyer Days, enjoy the brilliant autumn colors - includes Deluxe Deli Lunch Buffet with premium sliced deli meats, cheeses, assorted breads and buns, homemade soup, an excellent variety of fresh salads, dessert and your choice of beverage. You'll also enjoy live entertainment, informative commentary and Free Bingo with prizes. This 3 and 1/2 hour cruise sails round trip from Ross Landing in downtown Chattanooga. This cruise is limited mobility/wheelchair accessible, please advise us at time of reservation. Member cost is $68.00 Non-center members $75.50. Due to reservation policy and limited seating this tour must be reserved in advance and paid for by Oct. 1st. No refunds can be made after October 1st. Trip departs ESC at 8:00 a.m. and returns at 4:30 p.m.

Poetry Group meets monthly on the 2nd Tuesday at 2:30 PM
Quilting Circle/Crafting Group (resumes in Sept.) meets each Tuesday at 1:00 - 3:00 PM
BMH Caregiver Support Group meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday at 10:00 - 11:00 AM
Wii Bowling Fall League has the first meeting on Monday Sept. 13 at Noon (if interested you are required to attend this meeting)

Ballroom Dancing meets every Wednesday - Free lessons start at 1:00 - 2:00 PM with free dancing to music on CD from 2:00 - 3:30 PM (partner not required - casual dress)
Band Dances are held the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Saturday - 7:00 - 9:00 PM each month (Pay at the door)

Pinochle every Tuesday and Thursday all day - drop in and play (starts approx. 8:30 AM)
Hand and Foot every Tuesday and starts at 9:30 AM
Tuesday Party Bridge every Tuesday starts at 9:30 AM (all play)
Rook every Thursday starts at 9:30 AM

MUSIC
Musicians and Singers Wanted!!! Beginning on the second Wednesday, September 8th, we will have a monthly event for singers and musicians with acoustic instruments, sign in at 8:30 with performances to begin at 9:00 - 11:00 AM. Our MC will be Edward Harper of BMH Senior Services. Spectators are also encouraged to attend! Come out and enjoy a musical showcase featuring local hidden talent from right here in Blount County! This free event is sponsored by BMH and Everett Senior Center.
