6:00 PM- 8:00 PM • Tree Lighting at 6:30 • November 26 (Rain Date: November 29) • Martin Luther King, Jr Community Center

H.O.M.E. (Hall-Oldfield-Maryville Empowerment) and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center partner for this annual community celebration to kick-off the Christmas holidays. Music, family fun, light refreshments, and surprises from our own MLK kids! Join us on November 26th in decorating the Center tree with MEMORIAL AND HONOR ornaments, which will be sold for $1.00 each. If you choose to put a tree in the lower field, please do so prior to the event with the last day being November 21st.


6:15 PM • November 28 (Rain Date: November 29) • Springbrook Park

Celebrate the lighting of the City of Alcoa Christmas Tree in the Upper Fields of Springbrook Park where the trails will be lit with luminaria.  Following the ceremony, there will be special music, refreshments, visits with Santa Claus, and hay rides for the children.  Event is free.


Lighting ceremony at 6:30 PM • December 1 • Blount County Courthouse

The Blount County Courthouse lawn will be illuminated by live Christmas trees of all sizes, colors, and themes. This unique month-long event allows the community to enjoy the festival by driving by or walking through for a closer look. The Festival opening will take place on the Courthouse lawn and will include entertainment, refreshments, visits with Santa Claus, and hay rides.  For information on entering a tree in the festival, please contact the Parks & Rec. Office at 983-9244.


6:30 - 7:00 PM (7:00 PM: Visits from Santa) • December 5 • Pistol Creek Station Bridge

Come and enjoy the City of Maryville Tree Lighting ceremony! The opening program begins at the pedestrian bridge at Pistol Creek, featuring community entertainment and refreshments, and ends with a visit with Santa Claus in the Blount County Library. In case of inclement weather, the entire event will be held at the Library.  Event is free.


All calls are made between 5:00 - 9:00 PM  • Ages 3-5: December 6 • Ages 6-7: December 8

Children in Blount County can enjoy a very special telephone call from Santa Claus free of charge thanks to the continued support of volunteers from the Maryville-Alcoa Civitan Club who provide special phone lines from the North Pole. Applications can be obtained online or through the Parks & Rec. office after November 9th. Deadline to register is December 1.
